Thavasi is a Drama based Tamil film directed by K. R. Udhayashankar starring, Vijayakanth, Soundarya, Vadivelu and others. This is a story about Thangarasu, a young man, commits suicide after being framed for a theft. The boy's mother blames Thavasi, the village elder, for the death. To make amends, Thavasi sends his own son to replace hers.
