In a town they visit on their journey, Touka, Yuna, and Anri meet Kyle, who used to be the Hero's companion. Touka likes him because he is willing to accompany them on their mission to defeat the demons. However, in the night, he witnesses Kyle aiming for Anri's necklace so he can kill Touka.
