David Warner

David Warner is the ultimate TATA IPL legend. The Australian opener has been a run-machine in the tournament since making his debut in 2009. Warner's aggressive stroke-play and ability to take on the best bowlers in the powerplay make him a captain's dream. He is the only overseas player to score over 5000 runs in the TATA IPL and has won the Orange Cap three times, the most by any batsman.

Warner's finest IPL season came in 2016 when he smashed 848 runs at an average of 60.57 and strike-rate of 151.42. He led Sunrisers Hyderabad to their maiden title that year, scoring nine fifties in 17 matches. Warner's leadership skills and ability to inspire his teammates made him a fan favourite at SRH. He is the franchise's all-time leading run-scorer with 4014 runs in 95 matches.

In 2018, Warner was banned for a year for his role in the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa. He returned to the TATA IPL in 2019 and picked up from where he had left off, scoring 692 runs at an average of 69.20. Warner's hunger for runs and determination to prove his critics wrong was evident in every innings he played. He followed that up with another stellar season in 2020, scoring 548 runs and leading SRH to the playoffs.

He recently retired from Tests and ODIs with most international runs for Australia behind Ponting.

At 37, Warner is still going strong and has shown no signs of slowing down. He is a fitness freak and spends hours in the gym to maintain his intensity on the field. Warner's work ethic and dedication to his craft make him a role model for youngsters around the world. He is also a doting father to his three daughters and often shares adorable pictures with them on social media.

Warner's legacy as an IPL legend is secure and he will be looking to add a few more records to his name before hanging up his boots.
