Reliance Jio becomes the first telecom operator to install 5G base stations at Siachen which is the world’s highest battleground. The operator has also become the first to set up its full stack of indigenous 5G technology in the region.The setting up of a 5G base station in the battleground area will power the Indian Army with 4G and 5G services in the Siachen Glacier region. Jio has partnered with the Indian Army to achieve this milestone, and deployed its pre-configured network equipment to provide high-speed data connectivity to the soldiers in the region.Show more
