Greater Manchester is reeling from a day of devastating floods. A major incident was declared on New Year's Day as scores of homes were evacuated and hundreds of people rescued from a hotel. It was stood down on Thursday.Downpours which began on New Year's Eve left huge swathes of Greater Manchester under water.
