The Russia-Ukraine war has escalated after Vladimir Putin said on Thursday his forces have fired a new intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) at Ukraine after Kyiv used the long-range ballistic missiles of the US and UK to target Moscow.Ukraine said Russia has fired a new kind of missile at the city of Dnipro amid rising tensions in the more than two years long war.Ukraine also claimed that Russia had fired an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) along with a barrage of other missiles at the city in Central Ukraine, injuring two civilians and destroying infrastructure facility.What’s Russia’s New ‘Oreshnik’ Ballistic Missile?Russia’s newest IRBM called ‘Oreshnik’ was fired against Dnipro in east Ukraine on November 21. Putin said Oreshnik was capable of Mach 10 — 10 times the speed of sound.
