After the death of his ex-wife he divorced, Masayuki is considered the prime suspect by the police. A dying message was found on the pam of the ex-wife's dead body, which puts Masayuki at a disadvantage. The only one who can testify for his alibi was the yuki-onna, who was with him during the time of the crime. However, he can't possibly bring a yokai's testimony to the police.
