Megas XLR

When a video game-obsessed, wrestling fanatic named Coop finds a giant robot from the future in his local dump, he knows exactly what to do. He attaches a tricked-out car as the robot's "head," and soups up the 80-foot-tall robot into a mechanical hot-rod monstrosity named Megas XLR. What Coop does not know is that Megas was once Mecha Earth Guard Attack System (M.E.G.A.S.), a high-tech defense robot from the far future. With all of his tinkering, Coop has made Megas more powerful than ever--and ensured that he's the only one who can operate it. Kiva, the robot's original pilot and brilliant engineer from the future, has come back to the present to reclaim the machine and use it to save Earth of the future from the onslaught of the Glorft, a race of evil reptilian aliens who have turned their sights on conquering the planet. Unfortunately, Coop's tweaks to Megas have made it impossible for Kiva to fly. Now she must train the overgrown kid to use the robot to help her save the world, but Coop would rather watch wrestling than become a hero. However, once he realizes that creaming Earth's enemies is a lot of fun, he's much more willing to help Kiva out. Can Coop become an ace robot pilot and an unlikely hero, or is Earth destined for destruction in the far-off future?
