Peacemaker - Season 1 - Episode 1

In the series premiere, we catch up with Chris Smith aka Peacemaker (Cena) in the hospital after a miraculous recovery from the events of his encounter with Bloodsport. After all, most people don't get shot and then have a building fall on them only to end up with a broken clavicle. But then again, most people aren't Peacemaker. With no one stopping him, Peacemaker returns home after four years locked up in Belle Reve, but soon discovers that his freedom comes with a price. It seems that Amanda Waller is not quite done with him yet. As punishment for their ignoring orders and helping Task Force X with Project: Starfish, Waller has assigned the team to work with Peacemaker, including his handler in the field, Emilia Harcourt (series star JENNIFER HOLLAND); tech and tactics guy John Economos (series star STEVE AGEE); and the new recruit Leota Adebayo (series star DANIELLE BROOKS) who does most everything else; all under the oversight of the mysterious and over-serious mercenary Clemson Murn (series star CHUKWUDI IWUJI). Needless to say, none of them is especially thrilled to be working with the others.Assigned a new target as part of Project Butterfly, Peacemaker first visits his steely father, August "Auggie" Smith (series star ROBERT PATRICK), to retrieve his sidekick, "Eagly," Peacemaker's pet bald eagle.
