"Ted Sargent suspends Sophie from the show for using the "C" word, while Clive is allowed to continue in his role as 'Jim’. The newspapers are told that Sophie is 'indisposed’, and Dennis, Bill and Tony are forced to write her out of the next episode of 'Barbara & Jim’. After an eye-opening and empowering night out to a secret club with Tony and Bill, Sophie returns to Blackpool to await her fate and wonders if she’s blown her chance at success all together. Sophie’s agent, Brian, keen to get her back to work, approaches Clive to suggest he win her back -- if there are pictures of a legitimate engagement in the papers how could Ted Sargent object? Meanwhile Dennis’s wife Edith has demanded a divorce and Dennis, now free, seizes the day, resigns from his job, and jumps on a train to Blackpool to find the banished Sophie. But Dennis is not the only suitor at Blackpool station. Clive appears.Show more
