It all starts in a dark alley with the brutal deaths of two reporters, one "bum" and three Mafia hit men. Or does it? For the mysterious creature Spawn, the journey really began five years before, when he was a CIA operative named Al Simmons-and was incinerated to death under mysterious circumstances.
